IMMACULATE
The highest grade given by Cardcentré, Perfect cards with zero flaws whatsoever, Immaculate is extremely hard to obtain.
Immaculate 10 must score 10’s across the 4 main area’s. Additionally, 10’s must be verified by a second grader.

MINT
Little to no imperfections on the card. Our second highest grade, A Mint card has four sharp corners with only minor imperfections. Slight minor flaws on the edges may be visible under magnification. The surface must have all original gloss, a small number of specks or one minor spot or surface defect is allowed under magnification.

NEAR MINT
A grade 8 can have slight imperfections, visible wear on a maximum of 3/4 corners under magnification. A grade 8 surface may have slight surface imperfections under magnification. Minor visible spots to the naked eye allowed.

PRISTINE
A grade 7 may also have wear on three or more corners and/or slightly rough edges. A grade 7 for surface is given for noticeable speckling, colour imperfections or slight wax staining.

EXCELLENT
For a grade of 6 moderate chipping/corner rounding may be visible on the edges of a card with slight colour change. A grade 6 for surface may have noticeable print spots, minor border discolouration, minor scratches, wax staining on the front is acceptable. Centering must be 70/30.

ADEQUATE
Grade 5 can have a centering score of approximately 75/25 The corners may come to a point but may have two to three slightly damaged corners. There may also be chipping on the edges, minor border discoloration, visible print spots and/or colour or focus imperfections on the surface.

VERY GOOD
Grade 4 must have a centering of approximately 80/20 on the front, corners may show slight rounding, visible surface flaws may include scuffing, scratches and one or more light creases. Some original surface gloss may be visible, borders may be off-white, and some minor staining is allowed.

GOOD
Grade 3 may have centering of approximately 85/15 on the front, A good card can have deeper creasing that may travel across the surface of the card from edge to edge. The card may also have some surface damage. the card may also have heavy discolouration, border discoloration or a very minor tear.

FAIR
Grade 2 may have centering of approximately 90/10 on the front, Edges of the card may be heavily scuffed, notched and heavy discoloured. Grade 2 surfaces may have severe print spots, noticeable creases, heavy wax stains, minor scuffing, or a very minor tear.

POOR
Any centering is allowed on an authentic card, a poor card might have major surface damage such as severe creasing that breaks the surface, the card will have several catastrophic flaws. Noticeable colour or focus imperfections, heavy border discolouration, heavy stains, no original gloss, heavy scuffing, or a severe tear.

ERROR
Error status can be awarded to cards that display a common error, for error to be awarded, the customer must include details of the error within their submission card input.

Qualifiers fall under “Error” followed by the reason and grade.
Marks
Cards with writing, ink marks, pencil marks, or any visible impressions from writing will be labelled with the designation “MK”
Miscut
Cards displaying an atypical cut, such as portions of the card being cut off or multiple cards being visible, will be assigned the designation “MC”

Cards with staining will be designated as “ST” followed by the grade
Print Defect
Cards with printing defects will be labeled as “PD” followed by the grade
Out Of Focus
Cards that are out of focus or misaligned will be designated as “OF” followed by the grade
Cardcentré will not grade cards that show signs of trimming, re-colouring, restoration, tampering, or questionable authenticity. Be careful with submissions.
